getting started 🚀
how do i create an account?
tap "get started" and sign up with email, apple, or google. you'll need to verify you're 18+ during onboarding.
what makes a good username?
choose something unique and memorable! usernames must be 3-20 characters with letters, numbers, underscores, or periods only.
how do i post my first question?
upload a photo, write a yes/no question, and hit post! the community will start voting anonymously right away.
using the app 📱
how does voting work?
swipe right for yes, left for no, or up to skip. each person can only vote once per post, and it's completely anonymous.
can i see who voted on my posts?
nope! voting is totally anonymous. you'll only see percentages and total vote counts, never individual voters.
what are anonymous messages?
after voting, users can leave you a private message (like a sticker). these are anonymous too! free users see 2 messages, premium users see all.
why don't i see the same post twice?
once you've seen a post, it won't show up in your feed again. this keeps the experience fresh and gives everyone equal exposure.

how do you keep the community safe?
we use ai moderation, community reporting, and human review. inappropriate content gets removed quickly to keep realtalk fun and respectful.
what should i do if i see something inappropriate?
tap the report button on any post or message. we take reports seriously and review them quickly.
what content isn't allowed?
no nudity, hate speech, harassment, spam, or copyrighted content. check our terms for the full list.
can i block someone?
since everything is anonymous, there's no traditional blocking. but you can report inappropriate behavior and we'll take action.
premium features 💎
what does premium include?
advanced stats on your posts (voter demographics), unlimited message views, and sender hints for messages you receive.
how much does premium cost?
pricing will be announced soon! premium features are designed to enhance your experience while keeping core features free.
can i try premium for free?
we'll likely offer a free trial when premium launches. follow updates in the app for announcements!
troubleshooting 🔧
the app is running slowly
try closing and reopening the app, or restart your device. make sure you have the latest version installed.
my photo won't upload
check your internet connection and photo size. photos should be under 10mb and in jpg/png format.
i'm not getting notifications
check your device notification settings and make sure realtalk has permission to send notifications.

account & data 👤
how do i change my username?
currently usernames can't be changed after creation. choose carefully during signup!
can i download my data?
yes! you can export your posts and voting history through account settings. email help@getrealtalk.app if you need help.
how do i delete my account?
go to account settings and tap "delete account." this permanently removes your data (some may be retained for legal compliance).
what happens to my posts if i delete my account?
your posts are removed from the app, but aggregate voting data may remain for platform statistics.
